“This was the best house we have ever rented. The house was not only beautifully located but also nicely furnished. Everything was decorated with so much love. Sitting in the living room and watching through one of the many windows alone was worth the trip. We also loved walking at the beach, swimming and fishing.”

“This was my favorite stay during our week in Scotland. Trareoch was how I think, in my heart of hearts, I’d imagined this country - all greens and blues and soft gray rains, an ancient landscape of solitude and silence. From the house, the beach is just beyond the garden gate. In the rocks, tide pools hold miniature words of life and color: bright red and orange beadlet anemones, snails, crabs, limpets, tiny shrimp. Seals swim out in the cove. And all of this felt like it was ours alone. We never saw anyone else on the beach - the few other houses along the road seemed empty. We explored without limits both directions, along the beach and on trails. The house was spotlessly clean and meticulously organized, very comfortable for our family of 4. And Arran had more than enough to do for our 3 nights on the island - we left feeling as if we still hadn’t seen it all. I can’t save enough about the value, or the pure loveliness, of this place.”
